Bingeable Series from Our Blog

a woman reading articles on her computer

Here’s an experience you may have had. You and a friend or partner are trying to decide what to watch on your favorite streaming app. At first, you consider a range of movies—maybe a rom-com or a thriller or that one movie starring that one guy—but eventually you decide that it is kind of late and a movie is too much of a commitment. You don’t want to devote two hours to a film tonight.

So, you fall back on a favorite TV show. Maybe a sitcom that comes in 30-minute episodes. And then you happily watch six episodes. You can do the math: That’s three hours. An hour longer than the movies you were thinking about.

There is just something about binge-watching that is really satisfying, right? We think maybe that preference for bingeing applies to reading blogs, too. So in this entry, we are going to point you to a number of series and related posts so that you can binge to your heart’s content.

In two quick entries, we brought together a collection of our posts about various drugs and the dangers they pose. Under consideration were cocaine, PCP, opioids, codeine, benzodiazepines (benzos), and Ambien. These posts serve as good reminders that all kinds of drugs can be dangerous if misused.

A Series Devoted to Busting Myths About Recovery

Unfortunately, there is an awful lot of bad information and ideas in the world when it comes to substance use disorders. In this series of blogs, we took aim at a variety of myths and replaced that bad information with the truth. To cite just one example, we considered the idea that substance use disorders are a choice and a reflection of bad character. That, like every other bit of misinformation in the series, is simply false.
