Take a Look at This Testimonial for Bel Aire Recovery Center

We know you are here to read about substance use disorders and the recovery journey. But bear with us for a few paragraphs, because we are going to start by talking about advertising. We promise it will all come together!

We are confident you are familiar with the advertising technique that centers on testimonials. A testimonial involves someone who is not directly involved with a company or product saying something positive about that company or product. The hope is that the words and actions of this third party will influence those who see the ad to think positively about the company and its products. After all, someone—often a popular celebrity—has vouched for the product and the company behind it.

This sort of marketing has been around for a long time. Here’s a brief history taken from a blog post titled “The Evolution of Testimonials in Marketing and Their Power Today.”

Testimonials are used in all marketing channels—print, TV, online and social. Their use goes back centuries. Apparently a few hundred years ago (well actually, I guess it’s still true today given how fast Kate Middleton’s dresses sell out), people wanted to use what monarchs were using. In the 1930s, marketers used Babe Ruth and other athletes to sell their products. Then came the movie stars. Ads from the 1950s are overflowing with seemingly perfect housewives selling must-have products that make life easier. It was in the 1980s that brands started crafting products, such as sneakers, around celebrities.

As we noted above, you probably did not come to our blog looking for a history of advertising strategies, but we bring all of this up because we want to share a testimonial with you. Not the words of a celebrity who is being paid to say nice things about us, but the words of an individual who has gone through treatment for a substance use disorder at Bel Aire Recovery Center.

We think you will agree that this is a positive and powerful affirmation of our work helping people reclaim and maintain their sobriety.

Words from Someone We Have Helped

It will not surprise you to learn that we are not going to name the person who submitted this testimonial. After all, protecting privacy—including yours—is a central part of our work. With that proviso in place, we share the words of a person we have helped reclaim their sobriety:

I feel very grateful for this treatment facility. I have been to an AA based facility before and it was unsuccessful. From the first class I attended at Bel Aire Recovery Center, I have learned so many new aspects of addiction, science, and skills to help me be successful in my recovery. The counselors and doctors focus on the underlying mental and physical health that led to substance abuse other than simply focusing on the addiction. I believe this philosophy is vital for success in recovery. I truly believe if I implement the knowledge and skills this facility is providing me, along with the post-treatment care and programs, I can overcome my addiction, remain sober, and live a life full of happiness and success that I never thought possible.

We are grateful for these kind words and proud of the work we do. More importantly, however, we hope this testimonial might inspire you to get the help you need if you are struggling with drugs or alcohol.

How We Do What We Do

At Bel Aire Recovery Center, we provide professionally developed personalized treatment plans that take into account the specific physical, emotional, and psychological needs of each person we serve. We bring experience, expertise, and empathy to the important project of providing medically monitored detoxificationresidential treatment, family curriculumtrauma-informed treatment, and aftercare support. And we are equipped to address co-occurring mental health disorders—like the various kinds of depression, anxiety and panic conditions, and disorders stemming from traumatic experiences—that may be entangled with a substance use disorder.

In addition to our inpatient program, we also offer robust outpatient programs that can serve as a follow-up to residential treatment or as a standalone approach for those who are in circumstances that require an outpatient option.
