At Bel Aire Recovery Center, recovery begins with eliminating any drugs or alcohol from the body through the process of detoxification.
Our Board-Certified physician and around-the-clock medical staff use a combination of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) along with holistic treatments, such as counseling and behavioral therapy, to reduce the cravings of drug addiction with minimal discomfort.
“Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.” – Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
During that exam, our medical staff will take the time to understand your complete health history with a focus on recent use of drugs and alcohol. We will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan to begin the withdrawal and detox process.
While not all clients will need detox services, it is important that people with a substance use history clear their bodies of drugs or alcohol. In some cases, physical and emotional symptoms may occur, including nausea, anxiety, increased irritability, tremors and insomnia. Our medical and counseling staff work closely with you to reduce these effects, and provide care in a supportive and compassionate manner.
