Tactical Recovery Program

At Bel Aire Recovery Center, we understand the stress of military service and the ways that those stressors can carry over into civilian life. As a result, many veterans turn to drugs or alcohol as a coping mechanism. More than one in ten veterans are diagnosed with a substance use disorder.

The Tactical Recovery Program at Bel Aire Recovery Center provides a safe, structured environment for Veterans who are struggling with a substance use disorder and PTSD in Kansas. In our residential addiction treatment program, each day provides an intensive intervention that educates and empowers our clients to begin their recovery. Clients reside at our peaceful, homelike facility during treatment, receiving access to 24/7 care and support from a team of credentialed recovery professionals.

While taking part in our award-winning Tactical Recovery Program, our clients will experience treatment that focuses on the mind, body, and spirit.

Tactical Recovery Programming includes:

GET THE SUPPORT YOU DESERVE

At Bel Aire Recovery, we believe that our Veterans, active military personnel, first responders, and their family members are the backbone of our country. We also understand the long-lasting effects that these roles can have on the people who have served us all. We are here for you and your family.

Our military and first responders have had a dramatic increase in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and addiction diagnoses in recent years. Far too often, this population does not receive the level of treatment they deserve from people who understand the full impact of military service and other first responder roles.

While substance use and mental health treatment options are available, many individuals are reluctant to seek help because they don’t think treatment providers will understand their unique experiences and needs. And, it’s true – few addiction and mental health centers are genuinely qualified in understanding and treating Veterans. That’s why we created the Tactical Recovery program.

Bel Aire Recovery has partnered with PsychArmor, a national nonprofit organization, to ensure every need of every client gets met. Our Tactical Recovery program provides a culturally competent and trauma-informed environment, tailoring care for each individual using evidence-based practices proven to promote recovery among Veterans and first responders.

Bridge Care

When there isn’t current availability at a VA facility, but a veteran needs immediate help, our Bridge Care program can be the answer. With proper authorization, veterans can start receiving care at our Tactical Recovery program locations until services can be secured at a VA facility. This bridge can support veterans when they need help the most, and start them on the road to recovery sooner.

Offered at all Tactical Recovery locations, Bridge Care offers:

  • A temporary supportive environment where veterans can remain safe and sober
  • A veteran-centric approach offering trauma informed care to include a variety of evidence-based practices, proven to be effective in treating the veteran population
  • Medically monitored withdrawal management
  • Collaborative coordination with VA Medical Centers to ensure a safe bed-to-bed transfer
  • A staff of licensed clinicians and medical professionals
  • Additional comprehensive levels of care provided as necessary, including residential treatment and outpatient services

Substance Use Disorder Treatment

While alcohol and drug addiction can affect anyone, military and first responder communities are especially at risk for developing a substance use disorder. Through our specialized treatment program, individuals can recover from alcoholism and drug addiction, while building a solid foundation for lasting freedom.

Mental Health Treatment

Active military, Veterans, and first responders all face extreme stress both on duty and off. Long-lasting effects from these roles can include depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more. Our trauma-informed program meets the needs of this population completely, providing evidence-based treatment to assist individuals’ recovery.
